So there is good reason to at least pause and take a deep breath. Exactly where, then, do we find this Magic team with the sand running out on the regular season, with only a dozen games left? The short answer is on the losing end of Wednesday night's 87-86 score against the Washington Wizards. For a team whose body of work still finds them 20 games over .500, not to mention on the tail end of a tiring stretch of nine games in 15 days, you don't want to underscore this latest Magic loss too much. But you do want to highlight a few things. First of all, the Magic didn't just lose to the Wizards, they lost at home, at the Amway Arena. Not good. You see, when you're facing a team that you soon could very well face again in the first round of the playoffs, you don't necessarily need to make some big statement. But you do need to send a message. Subtle, maybe. Yet, a message nonetheless. It's sort of like a dog, when another dog gets too close to its bowl. Going into some big barking frenzy isn't necessary. All that's needed is a growl. A little warning. A message. Instead, what the Magic did is play like dogs. ELI 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2008 Turk had a good game, but he wasnt looking for anyone else on the team but himself. Sometimes he holds on to the ball too much, and needs to start passing to the open player. The last play of the game could have and should have been an alley oop to D12 is was there but he didnt look for him.
jack daniel 999 27 Report post Posted March 20, 2008 Guidelines # You may only select one game at a time. If a particular game has not been reserved by Noon EST on the day before the game, then that game is "fair game" for anyone who wants to do the Game Thread. In the case of a back-to-back, the second game becomes fair game immediately upon completion of the first game. # The member who is responsible for a particular Game Thread is also responsible for posting any game previews, statistics, or other game-related info in it. To be clear, if you are not the member posting the game thread, you do not need to be posting this type of content in the game thread. If you choose to do a Game Thread, then you must accept the responsibility of providing/posting game-related info that may be of value to your fellow board members. # Any game-related info (stats, previews, comparisons, links to articles, recaps, etc.) should be posted in the original post only. Yes, this may make the original post larger, but it will also help keep the rest of the thread easy to navigate.

Jareth Cutestory 678 Report post Posted March 20, 2008 JD, I see where your coming from, but just let the Mods handle it. If you keep pointing out every little flaw in this, it's going to make you look bitter.
Live or Die Magic 383 Report post Posted March 20, 2008 JD, the guy that posted this article was in no way even thinking about the new guidelines. He posted a single opinion column about the Magic and gave his slant on it. That is completely different than what you are talking about. Hutchence and Richnba have both provided an explanation to you and they both appear to have grasped the "spirit" of these new rules. In this case, what they are saying is that we don't need four consecutive posts of game preview, recaps, ect. posted on page 23 of the game thread. If the Game Thread poster wants to provide this stuff, he/she can place it within the original post. The intent of this is not to call out someone for posting a single link to an opinion piece. As I've stating many times already, this is an experiment and we are feeling our way, but please let the Moderators handle it from now on.
jack daniel 999 27 Report post Posted March 20, 2008 Sorry I wasn't calling anyone out ... It was just the way it look's in the guidelines which can be taken this way thats why I asked you all these questions... Didn't mean to sound bitter that's just the way I read what you put by saying Any. I'll leave it alone now that it's clarified and I understand. Thanks JD
