So........Anyone Wondering Why They Are Still A Magic Fan Through All This?

Through all the nonsense such as ghastly coaching, missed layups, horrible shot selection, failure to point out the obvious, and the Magic Killers, I've wondered why I'm I still a Magic fan?

 

Why? Do I like the drama? Is it the fact that I have some sort of fictional belief that this Magic team is superhuman and could improve? Do I really care about this team so much that I wouldn't abandon them in the blue? Am I committed to this team?

 

The above could be true but I just love the passion of being a Magic fan.

 

So......Why are you guys still here?

This year might be the most disappointing season that I've sat through but the Magic have fielded much worse teams. I bleed Magic colors.

True fans stick with them no matter what. Through the wins and the losses. (Even though they may have cerebral hemmorhages from bashing their heads against the walls.) Nothing in this world is perfect and it's a mystery to hang around and see what they do next. Patience is a learned trait...I should know I'm still waiting for the Atlanta Braves to win another World Series! ha

There is this fire that burns and kills me when we lose a game like we did at Boston, or against Minnesota, but for some reason I STILL believe that we can win the next one. I don't know what does it, but something draws me back to watch EVERY Magic game, and support them no matter what. I guess it's a lot like gambling...you believe that if you keep pumping 20's in the machine it will eventually pay-off! Now I have an excuse for my trips to the casino in Tampa! It's gonna pay off.....

It could be easy for me to turn it all over but I love it and I think to those who stay around, when the success comes, which it will, there won't be a whole lot more that is sweeter.
