ThisIsTheYear 241 Report post Posted November 27, 2007 Rashard returns to Seattle once again. I expect another big game from him and for Dwight to bounce back. The rest of our guys will be fine as well. Magic win 112-97.
Nyce_1 311 Report post Posted November 27, 2007 Sonics don't have a home win this season. Makes for another let down game for the Magic. They were tough the first time we played them, but luckly, they weren't hitting any shots. I think that'll change this game and they'll be on fire on their own floor in front of their own fans. Jameer is also listed as day-to-day after hurting his hand vs. Portland (reason Arroyo balled most of the 2nd half). Yeah, Seattle got better since we last played them, but so did we. They got experience, we got a BENCH. I think we'll take this one extending our winning record.

We also had 26 TO's and they got up 14 more shots than we did. Oh yeah, we now have a bench!

I can't even remember the last time he did. The one good thing that came out of the Portland game was that the Magic put something together when they needed to. That was definitely a game they would have lost last year and years prior. That's one of the major differences I'm seeing between this year's team and last's, the ability to finish games. Something I haven't seen from a Magic team in nearly ten years.

magic berto 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2007 The team has been putting away teams that they're supposed to beat this season, so I have full confidence that they'll come out on top in this one. Only way this game will be close is if we play bad and Seattle shoots lights out, or if Sonics refs picked up a few pointers from the Blazers refs lol JK
Eye B Leave 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2007 We should be very cautious going into Key Arena tomorrow night. They will be ready to play, and probably feed off the Boo-Birds that are going to let Rashard have it. We can't start the game like we did against Portland. We don't need to get into the habit of slow starts. We can't expect to be able to turn it off and on whenever we want. That won't work against the elite teams of the league. We need a W tomorrow, so we can go into Phoenix full steam ahead!!

The Magic were horrible in the first and third quarters and Portland was shooting very well most of the night. One of the things that separates potentially good teams from actual good teams is the ability to turn a switch and take over a game for a long enough stretch to put it away. We saw San Antonio give us a real good lesson on how to do that, and we did it to a lesser degree against Portland. But the good thing is that we're finding ways to win games, as opposed to the last couple of years when we found ways to lose them. I don't think Seatlle will pose much of a problem.
