JJ has good height to be a PG, can shoot it, and he seems naturally more unselfish and more willing to move the ball than Jameer or Carlos. Then we can have Diener backing him up, Jameer used as shooting spark off the bench, and Carlos as a 3rd option. That can make either Carlos or Jameer expendable and we solve our glut at guard. Quote

The Solution Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 Redick would make a good point guard. He is of the John Stockton mold in that he is very heady, great passer, and a terrific shooter with 3 point range. Certainly better than what we presently have at point guard and 6'-4" to boot. Yes, I would like to see it. Develope Milicic's outside shot and let them do the pick and role like Stockton and Malone. Quote

Converting Redick to a point guard allows the team to capitalize on his talents and have him on the floor more. Quote

Yes those numbers are crappy, but you can't really evaluae him under Brian Hill's system which is a disaster, not to mention JJ has played in few games, and only gotten limited minutes. Really difficult to develop any kind of rythm, especially being a rookie. Note that his role when Brian does put him in has been to hit 3s, not to pass or be a playmaker. Quote

andie Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 Either BHill or JJ needs to leave in the off season. We all know why Brian needs to pack his bags. If somehow he still has a job, then JJ needs to be traded to an organization that appreciates his talent and strong work ethic. Letting JJ rot on the bench is nothing less than a crime. He should, at least, have a real chance at seeing what he can accomplish in the NBA. He certainly isnt gettting it in Orlando at the present. Quote
