Since I'm apparently a hater, I will answer.
I have expressed numerous times that I would like to see JJ contribute in a role that utilizes his strengths. He definitely should play 10-15mpg on a nightly basis. Sometimes more when it provided the team with a decided advantage, and sometimes less if his defense was creating a disadvantage for the team.
And not being happy with your playing time, getting frustrated with your role (or lack of one), is perfectly acceptable. He wouldn't be the competitor he is if he didn't want extensive clock.
However, he should have done the professional thing and instructed his agent to keep it in house, and he himself should have kept it under wraps. That's where my criticism is founded.
He did the 'professional thing': He has kept it in house since December and met with both coach and GM twice. In JJ's defense, imagine charting the comments that SVG and Smith have made over the last two months on a 'logic tree' and coming to the conclusion that neither can give a reasonable explanation of why he is not playing and why they will not trade him.
The ONLY thing that is logical is OM's comments about his worries that there will be a mass exodus this summer at the 2-gaurd position. Nevertheless, no logic that if that be the case, why not give him some PT to develop him. Probabaly to JJ, if he were the remain in ORlando, Otis would just recruit another Mo Evans to replace him and enjoy year 3 on the bench.
Don't fault Arn Tellum or JJ because Smith and SVG are so predictable.
