Brighthouse/FSN Thread

The only things that give me slight consolation about this situation (not too much, but a little):

 

FSN is losing advertising revenue for every Magic game that they can't show in central florida. And they paid a lot for the rights to those games. So they are getting hit where it counts: in the wallet.

 

Alex Martins is probably not the most popular person in the Magic organization right now. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if his job is in jeapordy if this doesn't get worked out quickly. This is clobbering the fan base, not exactly what he's supposed to be doing. The pressure is on him.

 

Brighthouse has lost some subscribers. Probably not enough to get them to change anything, but this can't be a happy time for them either. Even losing a mere 100 subscribers because of this translates into $10,000 a month revenue loss, and they've probably lost more than 100 subscribers. Again, the wallet.

 

So at least we Magic fans aren't the only ones getting hosed here. Scant consolation, I know, but a little better than nothing.

I am giving Bright House until December

 

Unless of course I can keep giving me deals. In October I paid 53.28 for Internet/Phone/ and Cable. My normal payment was 160 a month.

 

I called again today and got them to reduce it to 66.73 this month, and starting December I got them to reduce my 160 regular bill to 140.

 

I will try again to get them to reduce in December if not I will leave them and go to Dish Network. Unless they have the Magic by then.

For once, I actually enjoyed reading a Bianchi article. This one almost deserves its own thread.

 

After reading that article, I'M FURIOUS and want to complain to the magic front office NOW! not brighthouse, not the news channels, but the magic front office!

Incredible... FSN/SunSports is actually making even those cable companies that carry FSN pay extra to show the Magic games that FSN claims it now carries.

 

We got stupid "Best Dam Top 50 Bloopers Ever" on FSN last night in North Florida Cox Cable.
