For the second time, despite FSN being part of the cable lineup, and despite the magic game being listed as part of the schedule on the actual guide on my tv, it has been preempted for something else. This time, there was some muhammed ali special instead of the magic/pistons game. So, I have FSN and am supposed to see it, yet it's still not on. Besides satellite, who the hell is able to watch the game? No idea but I'm getting pissed quote: Originally posted by Knappy: I already tried to cancel and go to Direct TV, but there are too many trees where I live and I won't be able to pick up a signal. They both suck right now. Same here, so I have no choice but cable... This whole fiasco is really starting to annoy the **** out of me. Why even bother listing the magic game and show something else. I don't even know how to justify this, we're outside of the 75 mile range, it's listed on the ****ing schedule on the guide list, yet we don't see it. What is comcast's problem? Is anyone seeing games outside of direct tv owners?
Die Hard Fan 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2007 In Ocala, we don't have the games and we have COX Cable. The FSN network guide SHOWed that we were watching a Magic game, when actually it was the MO. Univ-Colo football game. Now, how many people cared about that one? The boycott of our cable companies would HAVE to affect them. We are actually a BIG group, when you consider so much of the state. Miami's games weren't broadcast either here--everyone should speak up. I've emailed everyone I can. Tomorrow I show up in person.
mepot 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2007 We all have to keep calling and emailing all involved,FSN,B/H and the Magic.I still believe the Magic could get this solved with a little persuasion(MONEY),to the right people. They are the ones who stand to lose the most in the long run.Starting to wonder if they really care???????????? D-Guy 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2007 Can we extend the topic of this thread to now include Comcast's inability to show the games they promise as well? Those of us with comcast are suffering just as much in certain regions.

I take it Dish Network would give you the same problem? Right now I'm happy with Sopcast and other types of internet ways of watching of the game.. plus we do have Sun Sports half the time, as Brighthouse likes to remind us now. Is it illegal? Immoral? I don't know, certainly don't care. Thanks to the Axis of Evil that is the Magic, FSN, and Suckhouse, to me the gloves are off. All's fair in love, war, and finding a way to watch Orlando's only full-pro sports team.

Not even chopped up video. I have broadband and I've f.ucked around with my video acceleration, upgraded my WMP but still no dice. I want a deal done soon.. at least I get to watch them on Tuesday.. and1mixtape 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 I'm gonna bite the bullet and sign up for direct tv.Can any of you guys with direct tv answer this question for me? I see they have a sports package with fsn from all the major markets Ny, La,Ohio,Az etc.Do you actually get to see the other nba teams play on these feeds or are they blacked out? If not this might be a better alternative to league pass
Drain-O 369 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 Just wanted to check in and report that of course Brighthouse was wrong and even though my guide said the games were on I got some Ali special on Friday and Colorado/Missouri college football game on Saturday. D-Guy 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 quote: Thank you for contacting Comcast via e-mail. We apologize for any inconvenience that this situation may have caused. Please note that Comcast does not control the games that are blacked out. Comcast is notified as to which games we are permitted to show, and which games are designated as blackouts. Please be advised that blackouts protect the local rights holders who arrange separate distribution agreements for their exclusive territories. Unfortunately, there are instances when last minute changes occur regarding the black out schedule. In some cases, Comcast does not receive notification in time to lift the black out. Thank you for choosing Comcast. Sincerely, Ely Comcast Customer Care Specialist I just want to know how the hell I get blacked out when I'm in freakin tallahassee, very piss poor.
