  1. I'd like to get D'antoni only for the fact that we'd be forced to change up our style of play. I'm tired of watching the 1-in-4-out game-plan. We've regressed each and every year in the playoffs, it obviously doesn't win at the highest level. Sure, it looks great in the regular season, and hell, you could say the EXACT same thing about D'antoni's playbook. But at this stage in the game, I say you "roll da dice" with something new and fresh. Anybody worried about defense in the run-and-run should note that Dwight, by himself, carries our team on the defensive end. Him and Clark are the only guys on our squad who play consistent defense night-in and night-out. I wouldn't worry about that at all. I don't know, I'm just feeling stagnant watching this team. I want some new blood. A new direction. I absolutely LOVE SVG and his willingness to speak his mind, his attention to defensive detail, his focus and irreverent attitude towards the media, but if getting rid of him means we have a chance at keeping Dwight, signing a new coach with a different offensive scheme, and possibly putting ourselves in a better position to land a HOF PG (Nash) in the process, I say you go for it. Then again, I've been HORRIBLY, hilariously, wrong before. :dustball:

The Super Awesome, season-long '11-12 Magic 'Strap in' Thread

I wish this whole "will we trade him, or won't we" carousel was handled like "The Price is Right." Otis could be on stage with Drew Barker, holding up different trade scenarios. And we has the audience could participate by shouting our disapproval. Otis: "Veterans?" Us: "NO!" Otis: "Lopez and Garbage?" Us: "NOOOOO!" Otis: "Okay, Bob Carey, I'm gonna bet a dollar!" *audience riots*

No game thread for tonight? And can we at least hear it on WDBO?

Thinking optimistically here... The JRich signing was a ploy, a gambit, to entice GSW to part with Monta and Biedrins (as a show of faith, and they take on Duhon's bad contract), using Otis's connections to the FO there. He offers them a trade for someone they really want, with a reasonable contract, loads up on guards and wings to be used as trade bait later, and we start the season with: Jameer Monta Turk Fat Infant Dwight If we can find a way to get Iggy for Turk, and maybe Redick and change: Meer Monta Iggy Large Toddler D12 Again, this is me thinking optimistically, maybe unrealistically so, and not considering cap restrictions or math of any kind.

And someone explain to me, please, why the phuck do we have to cave and give the NETS, the sorry ass NETS, Dwight?! Why can't we give them Jameer and draft picks for Deron? They have as much to lose as we do by losing their star! Why are we the weak ones here?! Jesus Christ on a stick.

I haven't bothered getting up to speed with what you guys are talking about, just making a comment based on recent news. As far as I'm concerned, why should we give two craps and a screw where Dwight wants to go? We seriously just need to make the best deal possible, and let that team deal with it. I'm sure there are squads that would take Dwight on a rental for the year, knowing they can try to convince him to stay in the off-season. BAH! I lost my job, and now this. Obviously the former is a million times more important, but when I go to basketball to escape and I see this bull-spit............... fml

This sounds more like a challenge to Dwight then a declaration of what's best for the city of Orlando.

I found a picture for "strapping on" but I don't think the mods would particularly care for it.

Niiice. That's why the 2K series is tops: attention to detail. I can't wait to lay waste to fools online with Deewhite in his last year as a Magic player............. :panicworker: /sob

Shall we exchange XBOX Live GTs, so as to engage in a friendly show of sport and trash-talkery? Mine is "la Boomstick"

    Honestly, where can Dwight go?

If he leaves, I'll be like "who's he?" Then I'll ask if basketball is that one with the touchdowns in it. ... Bah. Lame.
