So long as we haven't officially announced the re-signing of Wagner we're exploring stuff we could do with our cap room. As of right now we have I think ~13mil in cap room (off the top of my head, could be wrong), as soon as we officially resign Mo that drops to ~5mil. We can use the room exception or bird rights to resign Mo so the amount of cap room we have left won't matter to retain him.

I've thought about this too. It gives me hope that there is something else we're attempting to do behind the scenes. That Tyler Herro rumor is the only thing jumping to my mind unless there is a different trade or player signing that we're looking at.

There's basically nobody left worth signing. It'd be a trade of some kind.

If you asked me to guess right now I'd say we do nothing, 2nd most likely would probably be taking a dumped contract from a team trying to get/stay under the second apron.

I expect we're waiting for as long as we can to see if the Lillard and possibly Harden trades shake out opportunities.

i don’t really agree.. There are several good options left. Especially one year proof it type deals..

- I like Oubre more than Harris in the starting lineup

- C. Wood would be a nice backup center.

- Watford would be a nice Okeke replacement you can get for cheap

also still guys out there like PJ Washington, Dosunmu and a bunch of serviceable dudes about to be cut from OKC. Maybe Garuba and maybe as a surprise Dieng as well..

We have no roster spots.

Kelly Oubre and Christian Wood are, for me, the definition of empty stats players. Neither of them have ever been an important part of a playoff team.

Washington I guess but he's an RFA and I imagine Charlotte match anyway so probably a waste of time unless you want to overpay him which we don't really have the space to do. Ayo is fine we just don't need anymore guards at all.

Unless I'm missing something Usman Garuba is still under contract (and might be gettable on a 2 way if he's waived). Gorgui Dieng is a 33 year old who's played 80 total playoff minutes, don't personally believe he's better than Mo Wagner or Goga Bitadze.

Those players wouldn’t be long term solutions. Oubre is a good player. He plays good defense and works hard. Great 3 and D player imo.

Wood is a center who can play starter minutes, once WCJ goes down. (sorry but it will happen)

for the others i mentioned. They are only options if you participate in a big trade that packages multiple players. Still not giving up on Herro..

I was talking about Ousmane Dieng. He is probably one of those players that could be available for 2nd round draft picks imo..

Oh right I'm with you, I'd be surprised if Ousmane Dieng is available to be honest.

sign this guy on a two way and swing for him to have improved and stay healthy! Could be a great story and i feel like his story and age fits the identity of this team as well!!
