We got two first round picks coming in this year with Chuma too. I am really excited about this kid

No, we have Chuma and #15 this year - not two in addition to Chuma.

This is quite surprising. Hope we don't go after him and over pay...

If he comes back it'll be a 1+1 year minimum deal I imagine. It always makes sense to opt out of a minimum deal if you think you'll stick in the league because the worst you can do is another minimum deal. Doubt anyone will pay him more than the minimum but we might lose him to a contender who wants some wing depth if he'd rather ring chase.

It is very interesting - maybe Ennis is thinking with Okeke in, there will be less playing time for him, so might as well see what else might be available for him. With Aminu just returning from injury, Isaac out for the season (?), Ennis opting out, and Clark a restricted free agent, that really only leaves Gordon and Okeke as true forwards currently on the roster. Granted that Fournier and Ross both can play some SF, but that is still a bit thinner than expected. I wonder if it means we are more likely to retain Gary Clark (assuming no one makes him a ridiculous offer), since he is a RFA? I hope it doesn't mean we exercise the team option on Melvin Frazier, Jr. I just don't think he will stick in the league if we don't. I think it does up the likelihood of picking a Saddiq Bey, or Aaron Nesmith if either is available at #15.

Doubt Ennis comes back, and that’s fine. Serviceable and fiery vet and it was a fun half season, but I’d much rather use our limited cap flexibility elsewhere.

I actually liked Ennis, and for the price I would have been happy to have him back to at least start the year as a tough-minded, energy guy; possibly to start until Okeke might be ready to step into the starting SF, and even then as a veteran off the bench. It still might happen, who knows? We might even be able to re-sign his as a veteran minimum and save a few bucks if no one else grabs him up. It might also have been nice to have him at the trade deadline as an expiring salary to help balance any potential trades.

Yeah, I guess my comment was just that I’d have loved him back at the $2.1 mill he was due to make, just don’t know how much more I’d be willing to give him
