Fultz4thewin 2,464 Report post Posted December 16, 2016 Basically he's a 2nd or 3rd option player. We need a first option. Yeah. And Fournier is a weak link on the team but he's also the only guy we can hand the ball to and ask him to make a play.
Mauro Pedrosa 1,033 Report post Posted December 16, 2016 Lavine could transition to the 3. He's got the physical attributes for it
MagicFanInNevada 51 Report post Posted December 16, 2016 I can see a Ibaka for Patterson/Ross trade to help with scoring and strengthen the bench. With a trade like that you could play Aaron Gordon at the PF spot and move Fournier to SF. First unit would be Biyombo, Gordon, Fournier, Ross, and Payton with the second unit being Vucevic, Patterson, Green, Meeks, and Augustin. I think Payton would thrive better as a starter with two legit shooters in the starting lineup with him.

MagicFanInNevada 51 Report post Posted December 16, 2016 Ew. Why are we trading Ibaka? Dude is killing it right now on both ends of the floor. Never said I wanted the trade just said I can see it happening. Why would they trade Ibaka? 1. He may be worth good assets to the right buyer looking to get over the hump. He could definitely help a Eastern conference team like Toronto or Boston because they won't have a shot against Cleveland with their current rosters. Minnesota is looking for an established veteran and they have great pieces to build on. 2. He's used to winning. If they keep him all year and don't make the playoffs they will be in danger of losing him. Yes money does talk but if a better team offers him anything close to what Orlando wants to give him he'll definitely leave. Believe that

Odin 137 Report post Posted December 16, 2016 how is fournier a weak link? The team consistently plays better with him on the bench than on the court.

IC. The eye test says different. Evan also plays the most mins on the team and therefore has second unit players with him at times. He is one of our best players in my opinion watching the games. Plus he has a good contract.
ML6 520 Report post Posted December 16, 2016 The Fournier-Ibaka dynamic might be something to keep an eye on. I've noticed several occasions in recent weeks where Ibaka is noticeably frustrated by something Fournier does. Happened 3 times in the Clippers game, each time involving Fournier completely ignoring a wide open Ibaka and Ibaka then shrugging/hanging his head/etc. Might be nothing, might be me overanalyzing. No one is saying he is bad, necessarily, just that he is being forced to take on a role that is a little too big for him.
