So I watched Vogels press conference after the Utah Jazz loss and this is what he said regarding Elfrid, Mario, and Gordon, and Vogel kind of gives a reason for benching Mario:

 

Reporter: Question about the reason for moving Gordon to the second unit.

 

Vogel: "To rely more heavily on our veterans. It wasn’t anything Aaron Gordon did, I considered bringing Elfrid out [of the starting lineup] and leaving him in. I wanted to separate both of those guys a little bit, and have them each play with four veterans for most of the game. I pulled Mario out of the rotation for a little bit, hopefully not for long, but when your struggling, you turn to your vets."

 

Could be that developing 3 players at once was too difficult while also putting the team in the best position to win -- so they are trying to develop EP and Gordon by playing them more with veterans.

 

I'm not sure.

Play AG more but focus on the defensive side more. Payton needs to be more aggressive offensivelyand Biz needs to start with ibaka getting more touches.

 

Fournier needs to play more team ball and Green needs to shut his trap.

In latest shootaround interview, Vogel talks about shot selection, mentions AG and his bad pull up jumpers and how they and AG himself are handling it. Those bad shot went to 3 and then 1 in last 2 games. Frank really has a good control of the team I think, players listen to him and work on what they need to.

Its really refreshing to hear exact issues mentioned and see improvement in them. It seems like there is always a plan in place, we didnt have that in last few years.
