2016 Playoffs Thread

The two of them should have gotten double technicals and that should have been the end of it. While Green can be a bit dirty on occasion, he was not the main instigator or problem in this situation. And there was nothing flagrant there at all.

Green should have just stood up really fast when Lebron was stupidly and awkwardly over him and made Lebron fall on his ass. That would have been funny as hell.

There are some who will tell you that you are wrong, that your perception of bias is all in your mind.

You invoked the name Donaghy. If you want to compare preferential treatment towards star players to fixing games, that's fine. Dumb, but fine.

And as he watched LeBron fall he could have said "sorry, didn't see you there".

If you really feel that Donaghy was the only bad apple, that's fine. Dumb, but fine.

So if the games are fixed for Vegas why bother

So if the games are fixed for Vegas why bother

I think it's impossible to "fix" a game in the NBA when the dynamic of the game can change instantly; however, you can influence an outcome.

For example, the NBA is influencing the outcome of the next game by suspending Green; now, GSW could still win because they are so good -- so in essence they aren't actually fixing it. But the odds of them winning now decreases and they're tipping it to at least go one more game.

I'm pretty sure you're not saying this but just to be clear games are NEVER fixed for Vegas. If anything Vegas has been one of the very few authorities thwarting point shaving and the throwing of games. If something shady were to happen it would happen outside of Vegas on the non-legal front.

Call some quick fouls on the best player for the Not Special Team and send him to the bench. Put that team down early, call a few more questionable fouls the rest of the way to prevent a comeback, and you have affected the outcome of the game. But, we never saw that happen to us, did we?
