Magicman28 295 Report post Posted July 28, 2016 i've already shown with facts this is not the case. He shoots better from the field, the stripe, has an offensive game, can stay on the floor in late game situations. The only thing you can absolutely hang your hat on w/ biyombo are the blocks, and i argue that's not enough to compensate. are we looking at the same stats?? Your too focused on one side of the ball. Mozgov's mediocre offense will never override Biyumbo's defense. Edit: Dude, Mozgov shot 56% from the field on 4.7 shot attempts. Bismack shot 54% on 3.7 shots. TheNameIsOrlando 310 Report post Posted July 28, 2016 you'll be saying otherwise when Biyombo's man plays off of him to cover that. And we can't really run any plays to stop the above because as has been said numerous times, Biyombo can't do squat with the ball. If Biyombo does nothing but stay under the rim and his man plays off of him isnt that a free layup everytime? At the least its an opportunity to exploit their defensive rotations. I dont think his man will be playing off of him. Thats more of a perimeter strategy.

Pretty much every teams entire offensive strategy is get a wide open dunk. If teams want to leave Biyombo open when he's within a few feet of the rim that's on them but it doesn't sound like a bad thing to me.
the notorious S.A.C. 89 Report post Posted July 28, 2016 I think people are freaking out about not having an KD, Curry, Lebron on the team so offense is the focal point to their argument. They don't understand the rarity to get those guys and they don't understand we are attempting to see if AG and Mario show signs of being an star. Everybody cant have a Lebron, KD or Curry for sure but at least try to find ONE player who will be in the top 40 in the league in scoring during the last 4 years would be nice. At this point a ton of money was spent and no one looks like a top 40 scorer...that is what the complaints are about.
The Neighborhood Bully 266 Report post Posted July 28, 2016 Orlando: The good news is that Frank Vogel is the coach of this team. That’s not a bad starting point for a franchise that hasn’t figured out nor had the luck to successfully rebuild. They traded three players for Serge Ibaka, a move they may regret, to add some competitive gusto. They don’t have much of a chance to make the playoffs, as their enormous lineups of Ibaka, Biyombo and Aaron Gordon will struggle to score. Nikola Vucevic can fill up the stat sheet, but that means Ibaka or Biyombo is on the bench earning starter money. Is Orlando rationalizing to think that a starting back court of Elfrid Payton and Evan Fournier is the right combination? The lack of perimeter shooting makes their oddly constructed roster even tougher to navigate. http://hardwoodparox...s-heat-celtics/ I can 't remember seeing anyone predict we'll make the playoffs this year. Very strange phrasing, how can we frind someone to be (future tense) a top 40 scorer in the PAST 4 years? Looking at per game #, we have had at least 1 player in the top 40 (weird cut off place, but whatever) every year but 2012-2013, with three players in the top 40 in 2014-2015. We will most likely find a way to have at least 1 player there next season too.

KD didn't even reup with the team that went to the Western Conference Final and one game away from the Finals. He went to the Western champs. Must move to the next phase...What can AG, Mario, Payton, Evan do. If they don't seem poise to be anything but athletic role players, you start packaging players once/if a deal is to be made. Remember when we had Tracy McGrady be a consistent top 5 league leader in scoring and we sucked? There's more than one way to win basketball games

There's more than one way to win basketball games One of those ways is to be the best defensive team you can be. Isn't the most attractive but it's a way. Good job. Wasn't Fournier up there one point last year? He was like 20+ ppg during a good stretch correct?

I'm not sure who Eli Horowitz is so I'm not sure if I'd be excited if he projected us as a sure fire top 4 team.
