Well for one they play different positions. And secondly right now Batum is a better player then Gordon.

From what coach Vogel said Gordon is starting at 3 along with Ibaka At 4. And GM Rob had almost guaranteed he is bringing back Evan. So that looks to be your starting 2,3,4.

we need 2-way player for the max. Give me Batum. Would suck to force AG to the bench but it'll strengthen our team and he'll certainly be closing games as our PF. Give Mario good minutes to develop off the bench and strengthen the chemistry with AG.

I like the idea of getting Lin if we miss on Conley. He's a great backup and can put a fire under Payton to keep his starting job. I'd say AG and Mario could split minutes at backup 3.

I like the idea of Batum as well. I'm convinced you can still get Mario and Gordon significant minutes if you have him and Fournier. Unfortunately, it sounds like Batum staying with Charlotte is very likely. If that's the case I'm not sure what our best option is. Do we go after another wing like Barnes or Parsons?

 

Another FA question...Would anyone still try to get Horford with the promise that we'd trade Vucevic? Would that be a better front court pairing than Vucevic and Ibaka?
