The Official 2015-2016 Regular Season Thread

I think a reasonable 5 year average (for his best 5 years) is something like what we're seeing in these last 5 games. 13.6ppg, 7.6 apg on 47.6% shooting. So maybe he peaks at 14.2 and 8.4.

This with good defense would be amazing. Especially with all of these scoring point guards running around.

Here's every single rookie season where the player averaged more than 7 points and 6 assists and started more than 50 games

Am I correct in seeing that Payton was 2nd overall on that list behind only Chris Paul in Win Shares?

It says a lot about Hezonja then. He must think Hezonja has a high ceiling. Was Hezonja known as a defender?

Hezonja is something of a capable defender when he's locked in. Somewhat like Carmelo in that regard.

So pretty much like we've seen so far. He plays really good defense against Toronto. Looks lost other times.

Hezonja has a crazy high ceiling. Skiles just needs to pick a game that we can punt on and play him and shabazz both 36 mintues for the sake of their development.

Porzingis was the target. Once he was picked, Henny went with an athletic shooter who had an air of confidence about him plus he can shoot. Teaching defense is where we are at right now.

Which, if you pick an poison, that would be the one to pick.

depends on the team. We saw how that worked against Cleveland.

We need to get to a point where we can play matchup based defense. Giving up a bunch of threes will work against the Clippers tomorrow. Next week against Phoenix i bet we get destroyed.

It's just tough to do, especially this season where it looks like the East is more competitive than the West. Doing that even one game could end up costing us a playoff spot.

Might be worth it long term.
