I would love to see us at least make the payoffs...I think the team is much much better now...and then wait for the summer and see what we get....we need a star player that is awesome and we will be fine!  I haven't watched a game in awhile except the last three, now there is a reason to watch...Fournier should be traded, I wouldn't mind that one...But keep Elfin, Vooch, diopo, Jennings and Gordon....glad Frye got traded, all he did was stand on the floor and look around..ha ha...

Come on dude I know this, let's not try to insult anyone's intelligence on here. But that's a contract that people are obviously forgetting about if your one of the people who think we have enough space to sign Fournier/Jennings/Horford/Durant a long with Vuch.

Isnt our plan to start AG next season? Not bring in a past prime vet to steal minutes again? Maybe as a backup but our 1st rounders gonna start eventually. And his lack of a shot limits us when hes at sf.

We have Evan and Jennings bird rights so we could go over the cap to sign them. Nobody is insulting you. You just said it in a way as if Vucevic wasn't signed already to a brilliant contract which next season will look even better. Credit to Rob.

 

Technically if we wanted to sign them and was all wanting to come and play or stay it could work. We have that space to do so.

Exactly we are just stating why it is possible. Example: this year's cap is set to $70 mil I believe and Cleveland has about $107 mil in total salaries because many of their players were locked in due to their respective bird rights.

Ok. Jennings has a cap hold of 12.5 million and Fournier has a cap hold of 5.7 million.

 

We have something like 34.5 million in salary committed in contracts assuming we waive Ilyasova and find a new home for Shabazz.

 

So assuming a salary cap of 92 million we'll have 57.5 million if we renounce everyone. Including Fournier and Jennings. We'd have Vucevic, Oladipo, Watson, Gordon, Hezonja, and Payton on the roster.

 

A max contract for horford would be 32.2 million.

 

A max contract for Durant would be 27.5 million.

 

Thus we would need to move someone like Watson and not take on a first round draft pick to sign horford and Durant unless they sign slightly reduced deals. We could sign Durant and keep the rights of Fournier and Jennings and still have around 13 million remaining for another free agent.

 

The only way we could resign Fournier and Jennings and add horford and Durant to max deals would be if we moved Vucevic and Watson and convince Jennings to sign a deal at less than his cap hold. Then we would sign Jennings first (lowering his cap number).
