That "lousy overpaid" Frye contract is looking like a bargain right about now with the silly money starting to be thrown around. Might not be a tough contract to move at this point.

I took that to mean that if we get Milsap, other teams might be more likely to make Tobias an offer since we might be less likely to match.

I hope this just makes our offer better. Atlanta got worse and Millsap will have his minutes eaten into with Horford at the 4 next to Splitter.

I wouldn't cringe. By the time he's in Year 3 of his contract, the cap will have gone up to over $100 million probably. His contract will be 30% of our cap space this season, but if the cap is $100-$110 million, it would only be about 18%-20% of our cap space. A 20% of cap space contract today is $13.5 million, and he should still be worth that level of investment at the end of his deal.

Millsap is not worth 20mil per in a vacuum, but you generally always have to overpay in free agency, and we have to overpay even more on top of that because we stink
