You realize we can sign both right? Matching on Harris doesn't preclude us from signing Koufous or another FA.

I realize this. I don't get why me thinking we shouldn't re-sign Harris, and instead take that money and sign 1 or 2 other free agents gets everyone so upset on here.

 

Carroll is going to get nearly as much as Harris btw, if not more, so if you want him you're not getting two guys for one.

I don't necessarily think Koufos would have a problem with 16mpg. That's right along his norm. If he could be sold on the situation I think that would be plenty of floor time.

 

I would prefer a more adamant defender in that role, personally.

Than read the rest of my posts you fool. I've said 100 times why I think what I think. To recap, for you:

 

I think Harris is a 4th option on a good team

I would rather use that money elsewhere

I don't think he is going to get much better despite his age

He isn't a good defender

I don't think he would ever be content being the highest paid player on the team and coming off the bench

 

Again, if we could sign him to add depth to our bench I would like it. That won't happen though. So IMO I would move on. That's just me. It's a forum. That's my opinion. If you don't agree, that is completely fine I don't expect most people to.

I would take that money and use it on multiple players to boost the bench. Maybe we could get a guy like milsap or carroll, idk. But We could eaisly sign a guy like Koufous and someone else to improve the bench. 2 8 mil a year players rather than Harris 16.

 

Come off it.

 

We have plenty of holes to fill on the bench where people could still find enough court time to suit them. Plus if you do lose Harris that opens up 35 minutes a night.

It's not flawed, his logic is that by cutting Harris loose we would have more money and floor time to distribute more evenly.
