I'd rather just hang on to Jameer a little while longer than go out and get Stuckey.

Agreed. I think he's just an option being considered for a backup 2 for Oladipo. I also thought he was older, feels like he's been a Magic killer forever!

Fournier seems fine as the backup two. I think if they get Stuckey, it's to play PG with Payton. He might be younger and hell maybe even better than Jameer at this point, but I'd just prefer to keep Jameer's veteran presence over the two. It isn't like the talent difference between Jameer and Stuckey is holding us back from a playoff run, I'd rather not invest the long term cap space.

I would prefer to keep Jameer and let Payton work his way into the starting line-up. Dipo can still play PG minutes as well so a 3rd PG is probably not a need.

Also would not mind giving Jameer a big paycheck this year as a reward for his loyalty and leadership. Could easily see him coming back when his playing days are done to be an Assistant coach.

That's the thing, I reckon we just let him play out his 8mil and then have him resign for cheap after the year is up and he can slowly transition into a management/coaching role once he is done with playing.

So LeBron says he wants max money... If true, that makes the Heat's situation a bit more complex. Bosh and Wade would have to come dirt cheap if the Big 3 stay together.

I think they are doing him a favor letting him test the FA market before teams commit all of their cap space.
