i went to the game last night and must say, i had a blast. seating authority was not in the mood to care so we snuck down right next to the magic locker room tunnel. high fived players, hit on cheerleaders, rubbed elbows with execs, photo op with stuff, free tshirts for all 4 of us. good times were had by all. specific items to note;

 

oladipo looked good for the most part at pg. he had one sloppy post entry pass that got snagged (might've been kick ball), but had many nice assists (ended with 9 i believe) and hounded opposing pgs, jrue holiday in this case.

 

harkless loved my catch phrase for him, "get you some Moe!"

 

cheerleader cori is engaged/married, had a rock i could see from my seat :(

 

yelled at alex martins about a jax dleague team, he smiled slyly and nodded yes. hennigan is a reserved guy, wouldn't react to my many attempts to get his attention but liked my comment "we got Robbed" after the harris 3 that was called a 2.

 

stuff is still awesome, as is inflated stuff jr

To be fair though: Kobe got into the All-star game that year on the fan vote as a starter, even though he wasn't even starting for his own team.

 

Fair enough. I was mainly objecting to the notion those players struggled early in their careers, but point taken. I have a hard time associating the expected growing pains of 18 year old superstars in the NBA with the very real struggles most NBA rookies experience. I know Mr.Assists was merely trying to stunt the expectations of a spectacular season from Oladipo, it's just that guys like Kobe and Lebron are playing in separate sandboxes from everyone else, and their struggles would be a resounding success for 99% of all the rookies to ever play in the league.

ya, acquiring one of those guys might be doable but both? would go against everything they've done.

 

If their big man rotation really doesn't work out then I could see them going after Davis.
