2012 MAGIC Offseason Thread

Recommended Posts

In all seriousness, can you tell me why?

I'd like it to be better for everyone.

I just personally think it was more efficient with a single thread. I say personally because I'm on here one way or another all the time. It's more like sitting in on a conversation that changes with new updates versus having a few threads that will lead to an Alpha, Beta and a couple nondescript that will not pass double digit pages. Reading from where you last were in a single thread to check tweets, funny pics, news updates, and maybe a couple arguments all while skimming over b.s. seems easier than doing so for multiple threads. Granted, I realize the purpose of different threads to keep it from being less confusing to some but, like I said, the single conversation just seemed to more linear with changing events. We can have one thread to mention that Reggie Evans and the Clippers came to a deal and move on with the dominant subject. No need for there to be one post per day in it's dedicated thread. With so much going on this offseason we still have "lulls" where people destroy their F5 key while posting nonsense because it's so "dead". It just seems unnecessary to me. One thread, all the information I need + DOM love and Jareth Trolls. I'm pretty ok with it.

p.s. - I didn't mean for it to come off like I hated your idea and therefore insult your intelligence. Just a mention of preference.

It's turrible to have everything in 1 thread... if you are away for 8 hours there is 50 pages of BS to wade through to find out that one of the posters loves tacos and another one scored 2 points at his local Y and nothing else happened. Maybe we could have a mod only thread where nothing is posted except actual facts?

So you're going to sift through the same nonsense in 4 threads. The boredom posts are not going to stop.

I agree 150%. I am an insignificant speck but that one thread, for the reasons mentioned, is why I joined and started posting.

So, do you like the Nets deal?

I'm referring to the thread setup.

The Nets deal makes me not want to watch basketball anymore.
