AddiFB 429 Report post Posted May 13, 2012 Can we somehow steal Rudy Gay from Memphis? he was not great this playoffs and last year Grizzlies played so much better without him... So.. A team plays really well without arguably their best player, overachieves maybe. He returns the following year and they fall in the first round... and you want him on our team, a team that's in a rather hard spot right now? But ok, if we can get him for cheap, like... a fire sale... Sure. What would we have to give up for Rudy Gay?
YaBoyR 62 Report post Posted May 13, 2012 Hey I've got a great idea! Let's give all the basketball decision-making, like picking a head coach all the way to picking teammates, to someone who doesn't know how to do any of that stuff! Congratulations, we're on an expressway to becoming the 2010 Cleveland Cavaliers. Surely that won't be a colossal failure and result in that player bolting anyways to somewhere else. Surely. He just wants them to listen to his ideas, its not like the other way has been working, Magic have no championships
YaBoyR 62 Report post Posted May 13, 2012 What was the deal at the deadline??? I've heard so many different trades between NOH ORL MIL and GS It was originally ORL/NOH/GSW then almost became ORL/MIL/GSW before GSW cut us off
YaBoyR 62 Report post Posted May 13, 2012 So what is it YABOY, is he leaving or staying? If ORL fires Stan and Otis, will he stay. Also, Martins said he has talked to D12 since surgery, and has texted him. So dont know about that one. He doesn't even know, but its more than firing Stan and Otis that'll keep him here. Just want to feel involved with the organization being that he's supposed to be the 'franchise player' And the only people that have been in contact with Dwight are Stan, Otis, Jameer, Turkoglu, and Liggins. Alex probably had someone relay a message to Dwight

And there probably isn't any change going to be made until the season is over. If management does have their sights on a new coach, they might be still in the playoffs, ie. Shaw. I can understand him wanting to be in the equation of having a hand in the decision. He is our franchise player and has earned that right. The only time this org. went after an upper echelon coach was Chuck Daly and he was at the end of his career. I am sorry to say but it is an AMWAY thing, small minded and closed minded thinking has brought this team to this dilemma.

The team can't make any moves without knowing what they're building around.
Air Gordon 156 Report post Posted May 13, 2012 He just wants them to listen to his ideas, its not like the other way has been working, Magic have no championships Wasn't it supposedly his idea to bring back Turk? And his idea to trade for Hibachi? At this point I don't even care how it ends anymore, I just want the Dwightmare to be over

The team can't make any moves without knowing what they're building around. Players almost always recruit stars to play with them when they're tight with management, not to impress them.. The NBA these days, to this generation of talent is more about an individual getting a championship than what team and city they won it for..
