Magicman28 295 Report post Posted February 22, 2011 I wonder if this will put pressure on Otis to make a move this Off-Season to aquire a big name. That's if thats even possible. The front office might not even give Otis another off season.

Chase 209 Report post Posted February 22, 2011 Also, with the Knicks taking on the extra salary, that pretty much leaves them out of the running for any 2012 FAs. Miracle in disguise :bigparty: Also NY just took a big step backwards on defense with all they gave up.
magicLA 57 Report post Posted February 22, 2011 feel bad for Nets fans - well not really but...that's 0 for 3...no #1 pick, no Lebron, no Melo...

Miller4Prez66 545 Report post Posted February 22, 2011 Let's not panic about the Knicks just yet. Unless they just get really hot and the Hawks go really cold, we won't play them in the postseason more than likely and this just takes a potential Dwight suitor away in 2012. Berto 338 Report post Posted February 22, 2011 Melo/Amar'e and a DLeague roster is nothing to worry about. They'll be a cakewalk this postseason.

Not concerned about any of those things. Sick and tired of not addressing what needs to be address while watching star players go elsewhere.
Bauncey Chillups 288 Report post Posted February 22, 2011 As the Knicks have shut out any hope of getting another max player in 2012, The Deron Plan can now commence
magicLA 57 Report post Posted February 22, 2011 Also, with the Knicks taking on the extra salary, that pretty much leaves them out of the running for any 2012 FAs. not necessarily as Billups is not guaranteed after this season - team option; Balkman is dirt cheap and Carter and Williams are both expiring contracts...plus Azabuike, S Williams and Walker also expire at seasons end - and they got rid of all their contracts that go beyond this season with the exception of a 3 tiny minimum contracts. they might not be able to get a max player if that exists after this summer but they certainly can get real close
