Let the season play out, and as soon as we are knocked out of the playoffs... let otis go, wouldnt mind if he took stan with him.

If we lose Dwight, then I can't imagine how Otis keeps his job. Has a team with a superstar player, a blank check to spend from RDV and was only a healthy KG away from not even making it to the finals 2 years ago.

Before the trade, Orlando had motivation and behind-the-scenes issues. Immediately after the trade, Orlando showed excitement and energy. Currently, Orlando likely has motivation and behind-the-scenes issues again.

Could the recurring problem be something other than the players? Perhaps something bringing the team down? Maybe something that rhymes with "tan"? Starts with "S"? Maybe?

Maybe. . . but how would you then explain the team playing at a high level and getting deep into the playoffs under SVG? Did Stan give up after the trades? Are the new players oddly "tired" of SVG even though they have barely played for him? Has his "nicer" demeanor made players like him less? Stan has been a guy that has been able to get the most out of his players and teams. . . did he lose "it"?

I think everyone is missing the major point in all of these trades and off season moves.

Only a few teams got better at the expense of alot of teams.... If there are only 8 good teams that could potentially win it it all.... that leaves 24 teams who dont have a chance...

If the current trend continues, why should those 24 Franchise's care enough to continue this slaughter now?

Melo going to knicks only increased that thought among the basement teams....

What we should be worried about is not Dwight leaving.... but the NBA continuing this lop sided sport and eventually going down hard.

Wasn't much of a problem in the 80s and 90s, at least from what I can tell and from how badly those years get praised

You should be asking everyday if a player like Williams is available.

Even knowing, the Magic could not have given a better offer than what the Nets gave. Two lottery picks and a promising young player along with an okay PG is more than the Magic could have offered.

The thing with Otis is that he doesnt seem to have a vision. Giving Rashard a huge contract, and seemingly out bidding himself was odd, then turning around and trading said player for the only player in the league with a worse contract was a little odder. Then trading away a reliable defensive and our only trade chip center for a player in Hedo who has not produced anything in two, almost three years if you want to count that crap he through up his last season here. The team now has no flow, and no clear future. They are handicapped for a couple years to come, and as the rest of the league gets better, the Magic will simply get older. Their is no true flexibility, the only flexibility the team has if Gilbert Arenas decides to forego 40 million dollars after next year. Doesnt seem likely. Im not saying fire the guy but I hope he has a plan in mind to compete.
