Realistically, no but to act as though Diop sets the bar for the other options is pretty ludicrous. Burning our 1st round pick really sapped any possible chance of bringing in someone of much value, but let's not act as though crazier trades have occured ie. Gasol to the Lakers. Bob Lanier has been working with Thabeet exclusively since the end of last season, his skill level has improved, he's still soft as cotton. He can be proded to put out effort in spurts, but I can't see any amount of coaching changing his nature. He'll probably be effective along the line of Samuel Dalembert at some point in his career, but I've seen nothing from the guy to indicate he's very interested in basketball. He's tall and enjoys the $...that's bout it.

I wouldn't trade JJ either since he provides us with a different look. Q is more of a duplication than anyone else so I would try to use him first.
