You're not crazy. Al Jefferson is very overrated, he's one of those players who put up "empty stats." He may look good on the statsheet, but he's really doing nothing on the floor to contribute to a winning cause.

I'd rather have Love over Jefferson, too. I think Love is the perfect PF for Stan's system, especially now that he added the 3pt shot to his game.

They would get a true center (top 10-13), an actually talented swingman and a Big that can shoot the lights out (they love these guys).

 

AND

 

They would get rid of Turk and his contract, and would not lose Bosh for free.

VC's expiring doesn't mean much when we're over the cap by more than his contract. We won't be able to sign anybody outright. We could trade him mid way through the season(or now) and then sign him when his contract expires depending on our finances.
