it's doubtful a team not on cp3's list of teams come in and trade for him. if cp3 doesn't want to play for you, then he'll just opt out the second that he can and you've just unloaded a ton of assets and taken on bad contracts for nothing.

I'm getting kind of anxious about this whole scenario. This all seems like it might actually, by some miracle, become real. With a thread like this, it would sure be funny if it really happened.

 

This reminds me so much of the KC Chiefs message board a few years back. We had a "Ty Law" thread that was about as long as this. We didn't get him that year, but the next year we did, and that huge thread came back from teh dead. So if CP3 is still a Hornet by the beginning of the season, still hold out hope, because there's always the trade deadline and next offseason.

Yep - I had this argument with a Knicks fan yesterday who insisted NY was the best destination because they'd sign Melo. Kept trying to tell him that Paul isn't going to come without baggage - but he just had the typical "New York>>>>>>>>>everything" mentality.
