It's not what he wants. Howard is on the verge of becoming the first player in history to lead the NBA in both rebounding and blocked shots in consecutive seasons, just another reminder of how good a defensive player he has become. (Of course, the NBA began tracking blocked shots in the 1973-74 season, following the retirements of Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell. Chamberlain led the league in rebounding in 11 seasons, while Russell led in four seasons). Howard is averaging 13.4 rebounds and 2.8 blocked shots. He led the league last season by averaging 13.8 rebounds and 2.9 blocks. The Magic (51-22) return to play Sunday at home against the Denver Nuggets. "It's really unbelievable," Magic coach Stan Van Gundy said. "He's so far in front of everybody. He's just the dominant guy in the league in those two categories." David Lee is second in rebounding, averaging 11.9 per game. Andrew Bogut is second in blocks, averaging 2.5 per game. "The individual accomplishments are great, but I just want to win a championship," Howard said. "Twenty years from now, I'll look back and be happy about breaking records, but I just want to win a championship." Howard also is leading the league in field goal percentage (.610) and technical fouls (15). MAGIC 106, TIMBERWOLVES 97: Dwight Howard had 24 points, 19 rebounds and four blocked shots, leading the Magic to another easy victory. They never trailed in the second half, holding a 51-39 rebounds advantage. The Magic hit 13 of 36 shots from three-point range. They got 19 points and nine rebounds from Ryan Anderson and 14 points from J.J. Redick.
