HOLD THAT HOMECOMING. Source says NBA has told other teams it won't let Z go back to Cavs. May be woofing with no rule against it, maybe not

HOMECOMING II: Wizards haven't even bought out Zydrunas Ilgauskas yet but everyone knows it's coming and NBA officials read papers

If the NBA bans Z from going back to the Cavs, the union is going to throw a fit. Unless they show evidence Z and Cavs had prearranged a deal to re-sign Z, they are going to be in for a bitter fight if they try to stop it.

Kinda interesting.....Could be huge for us if Varejao has to backup Shaq for the rest of the season.

I was saying that it would be interesting if they paid Z under the table. Otherwise why would he want to return after they totally dissed him. Especially considering he plays in their lineup better than Shaq.

I'm sure Illgauskus understands it's all business; besides he probably wouldn't care, so long as he wins that ring.

He might have a better chance with Dallas.

Agreed. It's not like this is the first time this has happened.

Perhaps there is more to it though they may have done something that did break the rules.

It should be in the rules that if you get traded you can not return to that team for 1 year, just like the matching a contract offer on ristricted free agents
