I think this trade is very realistic. It shores up two major concerns that I have. Combo guard. An ELITE defender. And a capable backup C who has been to the finals before.

You should probably make it simpler. Gortat and Redick for Shane Battier. I don't see why Houston would trade Hayes.

We've already established that you have the King Kong of E-penises.

You're also wrong about how you think the NBA's salary CAP works, and pointing out that you're wrong isn't name calling. Calling you an ignorant **** was name calling, but as near as I can tell I'm the only one who did that, and I don't really care.

Also, the fact that you've spoken to members of the Magic organization in the past means pretty much nothing, and it CERTAINLY doesn't mean that you are a source of intelligent information in spite of evidence to the contrary.

Hell, in my life I've spoken, in person, to Tom Glavine, John Smoltz, Terry Pendelton, Thurman Thomas, Bret Hart, and Bruce Campbell; that doesn't mean I know the ins and outs of winning a Cy Young Award, an NL MVP, playing in the Super Bowl, being a professional wrestler or making completely awesome B-movies.

It means I've gotten to talk to some neat people. That's it.

We need to look into a player who can score. Barnes/Pietrus are more than fine.

I think thats part of the problem with our team right now. none of our defenders except Dwight are anything more than 'fine'. Were looking for 'elite'.

You put a guy like Battier with a inside man like Dwight, thats a lot of 'shutting down' to be had.

THAT, sir, is a thing of beauty...let's smoke it.

I would do this.

I love that trade too. Depends on how much Philly wants expiring contracts though.

Trading for Battier would make little to no sense. We already have our "glue" guy in Barnes and a backup defensive specialist in Pietrus. Do some of you (emphasis on "some") honestly believe that we would get better by acquiring a player that essentially replicates what our current starting SF produces at the expense of a valuable Center like Gortat?

I really think the best move is trading Nelson (while he is healthy) for a true PG and benching Vince for a while and dumping him over the summer.

Depending on how you choose to define it, no team has won with a "true" PG since Magic and the Lakers won it in 1988. It really isn't as contingent to success as so many make it out to be.

True, but we are not a conventional team, how many teams have won a title with the 3 point shot being their #1 weapon?

Plus we have enough scorers in our starting lineup. Adding Barnes to the starting lineup was a good move and he isnt known to look for his own shot. Last year Courtney was the same type of fit/glue that we needed. What Im trying to say is, we have too many guys looking for their own shot and not enough distributors.

1. Do you think the word "gay" is an abbreviation for something?

2. I fail to see why I would need to be gay or 10 to be able to appreciate meeting someone as an adult who was a hero of mine when I was a child. Maybe you can explain that one to me.

3. What do either of those things have to do with your trade idea/FA signing that clearly doesn't work, which you're apparently too busy tripping over your mountainous e-penis to admit you were wrong about?

Holy crap! Doesn't it get frustrating regularly correcting the inaccurate presumptions of every fan on this board pertaining to the cap, cap exceptions, CBA, etc?

That's why I stopped last year. David Stern himself couldn't convince these guys to save brain matter for a more worthy cause.
