You implied that people actually pay for a service that they could leech (see: mooch, swindle, steal) for free.

 

My complaint is that ESPN thinks somebody would WANT to pay for their poor excuse at journalism. How often have they had some enticing nugget available to us common folks, only to discover the actual article, which a select few pay for, either has nothing to do with said teaser, or can be found in the local newspaper. It is no different from a movie being created so that the trailer looks good, but the actual movie is nothing more than white noise pushing from trailer blurb to trailer blurb.
