Mr Charisma

It's inevitable anyway.... Juan Carlos Navarro discussion

Recommended Posts

quote:
The deal could increase to $4.4 million if Memphis renounces its rights to guard Juan Carlos Navaro of Spain.

This statement was made in an article discussing Iverson signing with the Grizzlies.

At some point, someone was going to see this and proclaim that Navarro would be a great fit for us, so I thought I'd throw this out there for anyone to talk about.

I haven't seen enough of his game to have an opinion, so have at it !!

LOL.

He's a young combo guard that played close to 26 minutes a game for the Grizzlies last year. Based on his stats, he obviously loves to jack up 3's (at a 36% accuracy rate).

But numbers alone mean very little to me, so I figure those that have seen him play more (like KITNO, I would imagine) would chime in as to the quality of his game and his upsiden (or lack thereof).

If he played for the Grizzles that says it all.

For starters, JCN generally hated every aspect of his experience in the NBA from teammates to status. I believe he signed a 6 year deal in Europe w/no intention of ever returning.

As a player, he's kinda like an undersized Mike Miller. Quicker than you'd expect & a little better defensively than he's given credit for. Real streaky, but he could put up a bunch of point in a hurry when he got hot.

He's not the type of player I like, but he's a legit NBA player.

Agree 100%, especially the bolded quote.

He's back to his lifelong club, and he's not going back to NBA.

BTW, LOL at what you've done, Mr Charisma.

Anticipating the event...
