He's second tier behind Garnett and Duncan, but that's hardly a knock on him. His defense is massively underrated, and his man defense is a lot better than last season so far this year.

Well Duncan and Garnett are both getting up in age, and there's no one else in the league close to Howard's age who has the same defensive impact he does when he's focused, so I'd say that your statement is a solid one.

Agreed. I especially see massive improvement on his one on one defense.
