KillingInTheNameOf 63 Report post Posted October 13, 2008 This organization has mastered the art of running a players value into the dirt when we want to trade them. At this rate we'll be lucky to have a rusty ball rack to show for Ariza.

That deal was not a bad deal even if we trade fatty Mcfatty for Wachovia stock. Ariza may be a descent bench player but he doesn't fit into many systems easily because he's a SF that can't shoot. We weren't going to get more than a couple of adequate back ups for him and he wasn't going to play in Stan's system.
bhnole 153 Report post Posted October 13, 2008 Cook lost weight this off season but he did not really need to lose weight, he needed reduce fat and add muscle. Cook is skinnier now but still soft. He is going to have a tough time getting PT over a guy like Gortat who works his butt off.

Skywise316 211 Report post Posted October 13, 2008 Well, it wouldn't be the Orlando Magic without at least one Pat Garrity-type on the team, would it? This is progress. SVG actually liked Pat, for God knows what reason... but in Cook's case he has much more "realistic expectations." As in, Cook sucks and SVG at least knows it. This is one thing that I can't understand... this type of information didn't have to finish in the bloc-notes of any writer, especially if you're planning to trade this player one day. It's a shame, because Cook is a kind of player that could complement very well with DH, he's already showed a good touch from the three point line, but his defensive and rebounding abilities are under the par.
