  2. Brook Lopez is a free agent
  3. I'd llke to see us spend some of our MLE on Schroeder, Chris Paul, or Tyus Jones instead of NAW. We need a point guard more than another wing.
  4. If this trade were to go through, we'd be paying Paolo $50M (estimate), Franz $42M, Suggs $32M, Murphy $27M, KCP $22M, and Wendell $18M for a total of $191M in the 26-27 season. That would leave roughly $37M for the other 9 roster spots if we want to stay under the second apron. We really can't afford to take on a big salary unless we get rid of one. Assuming we want to keep Paolo and Franz, that leaves Suggs and KCP. I'm not sure there's a big market for KCP unless we attach assets.
  5. https://www.spotrac.com/news/_/id/2835/orlando-magic-2025-offseason-preview Trading Isaac in the current league year could be appealing to teams looking to shed salary for next year.
  6. https://www.capsheets.com/orlando-magic-cap-sheet/ Here's a good website that details how we can manipulate our cap situation. Keeping both first round draft picks (highly unlikely) would add another $7M in salary.
  7. https://fadeawayworld.net/nba-trade-rumors/8-blockbuster-trades-that-could-happen-in-2025-offseason I find it hard to believe Isaac, Houston, and #25 is all it would take to get Johnson
  8. Starting next year at age 35, Holiday's salary for the next 3 years is $32M, $35M, and a player option at $37M. The Celtics will have to attach a lot of assets to get off that contract in the current CBA.
  9. Kevin O'Connor has us drafting Jase Richardson and Isiah Evans in the first round. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/nba/article/2025-nba-mock-draft-cooper-flagg-at-no-1-no-doubt-but-who-else-is-a-first-round-pick-203049384.html

  11. Think I'd rather move Suggs to off guard and get a point guard who can run an offense and make an open 3.
  12. For comparison, Franz' salary next year will be $38,661,750
  13. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10131893-win-loss-predictions-for-every-nba-team-following-complete-2024-25-schedule-release Bleacher Report pegs us as the 6 seed behind Boston 56-26 Philadelphia 52-30 Milwaukee 51-31 New York 49-33 Cleveland 49-33 Orlando 48-34 Indiana 46-36 Miami 45-37
  14. https://heavy.com/sports/nba/los-angeles-lakers/trade-for-wendell-carter Nothing like another Magic center to LA rumor.
  15. https://www.theringer.com/nba/2024/7/2/24190616/nba-free-agency-2024-deals-trade-rumors-lauri-markkanen excellent point...
  16. Bey is expected to miss most, if not all, of next season due to torn ACL
  17. I agree his ceiling is a very good backup pg, but he's better than anyone we currently have. I'd give him 3/$60M with the last year a team option. That should be enough time for us to decide what we have in AB.
  18. https://sports.yahoo.com/2024-nba-draft-contending-timberwolves-swing-big-by-moving-into-lottery-landing-rob-dillingham-060335432.html 'just south' of Brogdon's salary would be about $20M/yr
  19. CP3's $30M contract is non-guaranteed if he's released by June 28
  20. It might make Cam Johnson available
  21. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10125108-2024-nba-draft-day-trades-that-make-sense-for-every-team would be a steal for us, can't see Indiana doing this deal
  22. https://www.kiplinger.com/taxes/what-is-the-jock-tax Google jock tax if you want to read more. Some states (mostly those with no state income tax, like Florida,) don't have a jock tax.
  23. https://sports.yahoo.com/with-bulls-roster-shakeup-underway-is-zach-lavine-the-next-piece-on-the-move-150136313.html other than durability, I'm not sure KCP is more than a marginal upgrade over Harris
