  1. John Wall done for the year. Heel surgery. The odds of a team doing something tremendously foolish just dwindled significantly
  2. I’m curious about the home/away splits for those numbers. DJ is a great role player, has been his entire career. Great role players tend to be inconsistent and play significantly better at home
  3. I think the easiest PG solution this year is to see what the Nuggets do when IT comes back from injury. They might cut him or we could get him for cheap via trade. Monte Morris is better than they could’ve ever hoped and they really don’t need IT.
  4. Not looking for an arguement at all. Just pointing out that nobody called for benching Grant and playing Simmons out of position at point guard in the second unit
  5. Wow, that’s grasping for straws for a pat on the back... but if you and Catalina said it..... Our rotation when you are referring to was Augustin/Fournier/Iwundu/Gordon/Vucevic starting with Grant/Ross/Simmons/Bamba as the bench because Isaac was out hurt, aka you guys called for Isaac benched tonight our rotation was Augustin/Fournier/Isaac/Gordon/Vucevic starting with Simmons/Ross/Iwundu/Bamba as the bench. Grant is the main problem in the second unit. Don’t think Simmons as backup PG is a long term answer, but it worked tonight
  6. I’m more excited about a potential 1/8 Raptors vs Magic matchup than I should be now. Lost to them at home on a last second prayer by Danny Green and blew em out at home. They at least wouldn’t sweep us
  7. Oh, I do. But, don’t get too high on wins against the Raptors just like we can’t get too low on losses to the Suns and Bulls. It’s a long season. I’d love to go in and dominate Detroit and Charlotte, especially because we can’t beat either of those teams anymore for some reason.
  8. You’ll predict a loss and say you predicted a loss when Detroit goes up 2-0 in the first quarter on Sunday
  9. This. Aaron’s been tremendous on D this season
  10. So, we’re 11-7 when DJ scores in double figures. Meaning we’re 3-12 when he doesn’t. I can’t wait to see this team when he doesn’t have to carry the entire PG load.
  11. Wow. Iwundu getting Grant’s minutes and Simmons playing backup PG.
  12. Not just practice. Clifford tried to give Briscoe Grant’s minutes a couple of times and he was dreadful
  13. Yeah, I’ve been extremely underwhelmed by Weltman and Hammond so far. They both came in with great reputations in scouting and talent evaluation and had a nice track record of not being afraid to make deals. They haven’t done squat here except for a lateral Biyombo trade and bringing in Jerian Grant. I guess the one plus they have earned is re-signing AG to a team-friendly deal and it’s too early to judge on Isaac and Bamba, obviously. If we continue to stand pat through this, I’ll be disappointed. This team is in my blood and I can’t quit it, guess I’m a gluten for punishment, but I’m definitely not spending money on merch and games like I used to.
  14. We watched videos of it all offseason! The kid can ball when given the opportunity. If we’re really invested in AG, we’ll get rid of Vuc and demote or also drop Evan and get him a real point guard that can run an offense.
  15. He’s not wrong. Our bench is literally just Ross. The other 3 to round out the 9 man rotation suck 90% of the time. Nobody saw Simmons forgetting how to play basketball over the offseason coming, but here we are
  16. The good thing about this losing skid is that we’re significantly less likely to let Vuc and Ross walk for nothing after trying for a playoff run if we keep losing.
  17. Yeah, I guess my point is that he just needs the ball more. Clifford used to talk about how he needs to get him X shots a game, and that’s completely gone away. Maybe he’s been told to just give it all on the defensive end and scrap on offense, but I think he’s a better offensive player than that.
  18. I think the most frustrating part of this team is that once again, Aaron isn’t involved in the offense at all so when he gets the ball he forces it. He’s playing his ass off every game on D and we have yet another coach who asks him to standby and watch buddy ball. Vuc shoots 20 + shots a game and Evan dribbles the ball off his foot and they’ll get the ball again next possession.
  19. I mean, it’s always been how we’ve played with this roster. Don’t think it’s showcasing anyone, just Vucevic and Fournier are so ball dominant and we, for whatever reason, refuse to give Aaron the keys to the car.
  20. This isn’t gonna happen, but if it does I’d seriously question management and their desire to win versus just keep friends and familiarity around. Honestly, I’ll be upset if Vucevic is here after the trade deadline
  21. Yup. I do feel like Vooch’s best was better and lasted longer this year than it has, but #contractyear
  22. It’s almost like we got fooled by Vucevic again... and unfortunately, Clifford has a history of playing through the 5 and loves him some Vooch. We need to move him before his value bottoms out cause I don’t see us changing our offensive style
  23. We’re 5-14 against teams over .500. I wouldn’t be upset about a playoff run, but I don’t see the benefit of getting in and getting embarrassed in a 4 game sweep by Toronto or Milwaukee.
  24. Good catch. I did forget Evan. I guess the goal in my head would be to either deal him or J-Simms for a vet big instead of having to play Yabo out of position or Birch. Maybe Fournier for Gortat? Roll with a Rozier/Brown/Isaac/Gordon/Bamba 5 with a 10 of Augustin/Ross/Simmons/Yabusele/Gortat Gortat is also a $13 mill expiring that has expressed wanting to end his career here.
