Here's a hypothetical: It's the fourth quarter in the fourth game against the Pistons, two and a half minutes are left in the game and Detroit is up by 16 points. Brian Hill gives JJ a nod meaning he is going in; if I'm JJ I just sit on the bench and don't make a move. Hill gives me the stare, I stare back. Hill shows me up by putting Garrity in. That would be my message to the coach, go eff with someone else.

D-Guy: You don't know what you're talking about; that's just the rap some people use not to play him. The NBA is about offense not defense, that's why there are so many uncontested outside shots. These guys can't play serious D for beans. This is a case of discrimination, either by Hill or someone who gives him orders. You don't have to be a minority to be discriminated against. Yes, some of us are JJ fans because he's fun to watch and Hill isn't open minded enough to use him effectively. This is what I think, coach Hill in the last two games has tested his playoff rotation; this is who will play against Detroit. JJ is done for the year; it's like the guy at work who goes to personnel to apply for a better job because he's got the stats but they keep him in housekeeping picking up the trash because they don't want him to succeed. Why? Because they're a-holes. Time to look for another job.

But you have the historical context of the slavery issue that's why white trashing is ok but trashing blacks is not. Players like Arroyo and JJ must come into a game knowing that if they make a mistake they will be taken out, great for your confidence. If they do make the playoffs you won't see these guys on the court. Too bad you can't bench the coach when he mismanges a game and put in the assistant!

If I were JJ I'd ask to be traded, he must be pretty upset. Let's say next year the same thing happens, he plays sporadically. That would be two years of his prime wasted.
