It’s fake lmao. It’s a funny troll though

Eh, I don’t know. It’s a small sample size, but in 15 games in the NBL, he shot under 30% from 3. Finding someone who can play off ball and create spacing is key, and I don’t think he’s going to do that until his shot becomes more consistent. If Fournier returns, then I’d be fine with Hampton, but I might still prefer an Aaron Nesmith or Josh Green who are more traditional 2’s that we know can be good complements to Fultz.

There’s a 3% fatality rate. Amway holds 20,000. Even if it’s just at 50% capacity or below, there’s a decent chance someone dies, provided someone has the disease and transmits it. I don’t know what basis you have to say that nobody would have the disease other than your own convictions. It’s the same reason Florida universities have moved online— there’s a decent chance somebody has contracted the disease, and it’s better safe than sorry assuming that nobody has corona considering how contagious it is. Continuing the games, especially with an infected Utah locker room, would be pretty irresponsible.

1.- provided Isaac is healthy and there isn’t any lingering instability with his knee, I’d fire him up for the stretch run (if that happens) 2.- It’d suck since we’d have to play the Bucks, and we’d probably end up the 7th seed if the regular season played out. I want a rematch with the Raptors, but playoffs are better than no playoffs. I’m thinking that they might not restart the season, though.

He’s been shooting it crazy good the past 10 games or so, especially for his standards. I’ve gone from expecting a brick on MCW three pointers to expecting a make. I think it’s just an outlier stretch, but he’s been a great asset for these last couple of games.

Looked like Gordon twisted his ankle. Hope he’s ok

Lol yeah. It looks a lot more fluid compared the start of the season though. Looked like there was no hitch on those two 3’s.

I think Fultz’s shot is improving. Gonna be fun to see what a full offseason does for him.

    Magic @ Timberwolves - Friday, March 6th at 8:00 P.M.

Bamba played just 7 minutes last game, so it’s not something specific to this game. I don’t know if it’s about wanting Vucevic’s offense with the 2nd unit or Cliff not liking Bamba, but it’s weird timing considering that Bamba’s been playing some of his best basketball recently.

I’m not sure he comes out this year— if I had to guess, he probably returns to UF for another year— but Scottie Lewis seems like a guy WeltHam would be interested in. Long wingspan, elite athleticism and on ball defense with some interesting development on offense so far. I like him as a player, though he’ll be more of a project rather than a NBA-ready player from day one (which is probably why he returns to college). If he comes out, though, I could see Lewis being a Magic pick.

And the eye test is prone to exaggerating biases and predisposed opinions on a player.

Bamba should never be in the post lol. That’s not his game. Shots around the basket, put backs and threes are the only shots Bamba should be taking. When’s the last time you’ve seen Gobert dominate in the post? That’s not his game.

According to advanced stats, he’s already an elite defender. He’s able to space the floor. As he gets stronger, he’ll be able to carve out more offensive rebounds. That’s all we really need out of our center once we trade Vuc.

Not to be a Bamba homer, but I think Bamba is exactly that guy. The running the floor comes and goes, and he has improvement to do on the offensive end, but he’s an elite defensive center who fits much better in a up-tempo, Fultz centric offense. We just need to unload Vuc. Addition by subtraction.

Aminu did have some bad shooting regression, albeit in a small sample size. He’s supposed to be a stretch 4 with defensive versatility, but he kind of lost the “stretch”, shooting 25% from 3 and all. I don’t think Aminu is terrible, but a large part of the value he brings is shooting above 35% from 3 as a defensive minded 4, and in the games he played, he didn’t bring that shooting.

    Magic at Hornets - Monday, February 3, 2020 @ 7 PM

I didn’t watch the game so I don’t know if there were factors in messing up the rotation, but Bamba really should’ve gotten more than 12 minutes imo. I know Vuc is central to Clifford’s offense, but Bamba should be getting 20 minutes off the bench per game imo.

    Magic Vs Heat - Saturday, February 1, 2020 @ 7:00 P.M.

Meh, they’ve only two more three pointers than us. It’s helped Miami in terms of spacing and causing close outs on kick outs, but the real difference tonight is that Ross and Fournier have been overall negatives. If you mean moreso in regards to their team building philosophy rather than just specifically tonight, then I agree.

    Magic Vs Heat - Saturday, February 1, 2020 @ 7:00 P.M.

Vucevic and Fournier have been overall detriments to the team. Only players that have showed up is Gordon and Fultz— just not enough.

I would accept 1 and 2 without hesitation. Both teams would reject those trades without hesitation, too. Can’t see Gobert or McCollum getting moved, especially not for Vuc/Fournier. I think I reject the rest of the trades. The Barnes trade is interesting, but I think his contract is just as hard to trade as Vuc’s. Nothing else really moves the needle for me.

Bamba has 10 points in 10 minutes. Vuc has 11 points in 28 minutes. There’s something wrong with this picture.

Just tuned in to see that Vuc air ball. More of the same for Nik, huh? Good to see we whittled down Miami’s lead to 6 from 15. We’ll see if we’re able to string together a complete half.

    Magic at Heat - Monday, January 27th @ 7:30 P.M.

I don’t like the match up with Boston. Kemba might average 40 in that series. I do think we match up well with Miami and would give them a lot of trouble in the first round, especially if Isaac makes a late return for the postseason. Could definitely see that going 6 or 7, but I usually trend optimistic

    Magic at Heat - Monday, January 27th @ 7:30 P.M.

It’s going to take a pretty big collapse to miss the playoffs. Both Detroit and Chicago are in the top 10 for strength of schedule. Both Detroit and Chicago already face an uphill battle in catching Brooklyn for the 8th seed. It’d take a dramatic losing spell for us and a stretch of great play from Chicago/Detroit for us to fall outside of the top 8. This season hasn’t been a building block or anything, but barring disaster, we’re making the playoffs. Edit: We also have the 5th easiest schedule in the league, so there’s that as well.

    Magic at Heat - Monday, January 27th @ 7:30 P.M.

Interesting to see what happens tonight. Blew Miami last time out. If we win again, I’m going to start getting optimistic about a 2 vs 7 matchup between us and Miami. I think we match up well with them, but obviously playoff basketball is a different beast.

    Magic Vs. Clippers - Sunday, January 26, 2020 @ 6:00 PM

I didn’t say that— we haven’t seen Clifford play Bamba past his typical minutes this season, other than the stretch Vuc was injured for. Same with having MCW finish the game. Wasn’t a comment on Cliff’s overall coaching performance, but a remark on him being more flexible in rotations. I’ve long been a critic of him playing rigid rotations, so this is a improvement.
