DEAR BRIAN: What is happening to Travis Diener? He has only played in 2 games since Feb. 23rd. If he's useless for the Magic, why doesn't the team trade him to another team where he will get a chance to play?

GEORGE: Travis is the fourth point guard now behind Jameer, Keyon and Carlos. The Magic didn't want to trade him to a team that wanted to use him as a third guard. My guess is nobody wanted to give them a late first-round pick. Travis likely will not be back and might catch on elsewhere or play overseas. Brian

It is totally uncalled for to bring Travis into a conversation since he will not even be on the playoff roster.Give it up wait for next seasson

true, but his resurgence in the early part of the season could have warrant some interest.

Poor Travis. The kid has a lot of skill and noone cares for him. The Grizzlies and the Bucks could of used him. I'm sure he'll sign with an NBA team. Remember the pre-season games where he scored like 30 something points.

How can any news related to these players be uncalled for? They are all on the roster as of right now and therefore are noteworthy news. I didn't see you post in the Francine Vasquez post that it was uncalled for to be talking about her because she won't play in the playoffs.

 

This is the Orlando Magic Message Board, not the Orlando Magic Playoffs Message Board. Any player on the roster should be able to be discussed without it being "uncalled for"

What are you talking about? He is a member of the roster and a player that alot of posters would like to keep. Why is that uncalled for?

 

By the way there is a rule change this season that extends the playoff roster from 13 players to 15. Diener and Augustine will both be on the roster assuming we make it.
