You Must Be on Crack: Darko Milicic's Agent

The Candidate: Marc Cornstein, Darko Milicic's Agent

The Case: Mr. Cornstein after the recent signing of Rashard Lewis by the Magic and the corresponding lack of qualifying offer given by the Magic to Darko went off on a rant calling Otis Smith, Magic GM, a liar. He said Smith told him that Darko was a priority but he reasoned that because they signed Lewis this was obviously not the case. This was stupid enough, however according to rumor central Marc Cornstein and Darko are currently seeking a $10 million dollar contract for the 22 year old. According to rumor central the Bulls are interested in Darko however the $10 million dollar contract the agents are looking for are out of their range.

The Verdict: Mr. Cornstein you are in fact on some serious hallucinogens. First off, when a GM calls your player priority it does not mean that you are the #1 priority, that they will do anything they can to sign you. It means that they want you, but if you're going to be ridiculous then you can walk out the front door. Next 10 mill? You're client's resume includes a career best season where he put up 8 points and 5.5 boards a game. That's not good, despite the fact he's still just 22. Why would anybody with some semblance of a brain give you a $10 million dollar a year deal. Please NBA do something right and force Darko to take the contract he deserves, a rookie deal equivalent to a late lottery pick.

Ok lol, I was wondering what reporter would actually say someone was on crack.

I don't know what type of crack the Cornstein has been experimenting with. But it has the potential to kill high in high doses. He needs to find a new dealer.

Actually, the writer is right. Being a "priority" doesn't necessarily mean you are of highest importance. It may just mean one holds more importance than others but not all. Try to look it up yourself because I double-checked it in the dictionary just in case.

In our case, Darko is a priority but not the top one. Top priority was to get a shooter/scorer and that's what we got (or will get). After the Rashard deal, THEN Darko becomes top priority.
