That’s a contender.

Patience is a virtue.

Contender for what? A 7 seed?

The issue with the hennigan era was we tried to take shortcuts towards the end. Well that and many other things.

Right so basically they're are saying "**** maybe he was right" and now are duplicating it but instead of Skiles, it's Clifford.

Hiring skiles wasn't an issue at all. Hiring skiles, him pouting, trading depth to appease him without getting proper long term return them doubling down on that by trading more depth for lesser long term return was the issue.

Also if you act like he's an amazing fit same deal.

We don't know enough about his plans to make an accurate assessment at this point.

Hiring Skiles was an issue because he was a 3 time failure with clear deficiencies.

His deficiencies (pre magic) were that guys got tired of his voice after a few years of improvement so he had a low shelf life. That's it.

Hiring Clifford is the Equivalent of drafting Wendell Carter over Trae Young or Bamba meh...

Which is what this front office is going to do...they’ve made the most kind boggling decisions since Hennigan

Except coaching candidates and draft prospects are different things. We lack elite level talent so it makes sense to go after high ceiling talent because you can find mid tier players easier outside the draft.

With coaching we lack competent consistent coaching so it makes sense to go after a high floor guy. Whether Clifford, stotts, or Casey were the right choice on that end will remain to be seen. But I get going that way with the hire

Sooo it was an issue...

Him not being Hennigans guy was an issue as well.
