He's a good backup and was actually competent in Utah when given starters minutes.

 

He's not coming here to push Payton for his job. He's pushing Augustin out of the rotation.

 

He's got a 6'7 wingspan. If we're starting to build a team that bothers others with length you can't have a bench that's ross! Hezonja! Isaac! Biyombo! Then Darren Collison or Augustin or ty Lawson. It kills what you're trying to scheme for.

 

He can run a pick and roll. He hits enough open threes. He can switch onto 2s with ease and can do enough against threes that its not easy buckets.

He was actually really strong in the playoffs last year against GS too for whatever that's worth.
