Big man John Henson could be a prime trade candidate.

 

There is mutual interest and motivation from both sides on finding the 6-11 center a new home, league sources tell ESPN. Henson, a shot-blocking specialist, has three years and $32 million remaining on his contract.

What are people's thoughts on John Henson? And do you think there's any chance we could nab him?

 

I'd like to have Henson on the Magic - a young, defensiv center with a reasonable contract. But the Bucks probably won't take any of our bigs in return since they already have Maker and Monroe. Plus they are looking to create cap space apparently. And without moving Vucevic/Biyombo we would create a logjam at center...

Nah. We should be involved in LV summer league so we could continue this conversation. It's pretty annoying that we are not.

Based on interviews, the Magic is not tanking. They will make most of this roster.

If we are trading Fournier and Vucevic then it wouldn't really matter what it does to our offensive production because we would essentially be tanking for a top pick.

 

At that point it would be up for debate on which players are untouchable on this roster currently. I assume that Isaac would be one because we have just drafted the kid, but outside of that we could look to move other players on this roster that do not fit what we intend to build going forwards.

 

With that said, I don't see this team tanking. As such I suspect players like Vuc and Fournier will be on this roster unless we package them to get a better player. However, I could see them being made available (as well as others) if we are struggling by the trade deadline, at that point we might end up trading players to get draft assets.
