Also, no coach is going to jump at coaching jameer-afflalo-hedo-davis-vucevic. We had to choose between Vaughn and Hornacek and picked the guy with the better resume.

Stan would've. His problem was Dwight.

^^^I agree and I don't think Henny should be on the hot seat, yet. However, firing a good coach to hiring one of the worst to firing him as well, is worth noting.

Hennigan had nothing to do with firing Stan, he wasn't with the Magic yet. The higher-ups fired Stan and mutually agreed to part ways with Otis Smith at the same time

Which was a mistake on their part.

And in this case, it was SVG.

He would hsve made us too good. Can't go anywhere if we're drafting Steven Adams instead of Oladipo and TJ warren instead of Gordon. Probably still getting PAYTON though

Yeah but cool heads could've prevailed. Henny should've sat down with Stan and start anew. Tanking could've happened regardless. We were in rebuild mode. I just don't agree with the notion you fire a good head coach and hire one to lose.

To be fair SVG would have wanted no part of a complete rebuild so it's really a moot (mute? don't really care) point.

You guys have to remember that SVG flat out called this organization out and put the top guys on the spot in front of the media. Stan was BEGGING to be fired, he saw the ship sinking and wanted out.

Pretty much. There was no way Stan wasn't being fired after all that, so those of you who keep trying to play out the scenario that Stan could coach this team need to just stop.
