Official 2014-2015 Shake-and-Bake Trade Thread

We're only 2.5 games out of the 8th spot in the east, and the current 8 seed is beginning a fire sale.

Does that mean we ride out Harris???

I was really hoping (and I actually think you were too if memory serves) that we'd go after Isaiah Thomas this summer. Still think he'd have been perfect.

Oh well... Back to the reality of having a bad offensive PG Vs shoehorning a SG at PG Vs giving minutes to a journeyman PG with no long term future on the team.

I wonder what or who the Suns would want for Tyler Ennis. The Suns have way too many PG's and and I wouldn't mind him being groomed behind Payton to be the backup. Just a thought.

Wouldn't have a huge problem with that. I think I'd rather have a backup point that could play defense.

I think we need to double down on defense for this team to work

I think we should try to flip Hark for Stauskas: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=n7kvuym. Clearly, Hark has lost his confidence and place in Orlando, and Stauskas was said to be the next JJ coming out.

Harkless has no value. Stauskas has a lot of value. Why would they make that trade?

Especially considering they just signed Quincy Miller who is very harklike

Yeah, I think Hark showed some promise last year and is still 21. Meanwhile, I read this week that Stauskas is having one of the worst rookie seasons in the modern era of the NBA. Still probably not even :)

The Sacramento Kings used the No. 8 selection in the 2014 NBA draft on Michigan guard Nik Stauskas and we got word on Thursday, day 80 of the NBA season, that the team is willing to include him in a trade. According to Ken Berger of CBSSports.com, management wants to add a power forward who can better compliment DeMarcus Cousins and his skill-set. That means they are searching for a "Stretch 4" who can open up the inside for Cousins.

Stauskas is available to help facilitate a trade as he is not getting that much time behind Ben McLemore. Teams are always on the look out for a shooter, so the Kings should get some calls for him, although completing a deal could be tough as most of the Kings on the trade block have low value around the league. Possible "Stretch 4" targets could include Atlanta's rookie Adreian Payne, LA Lakers Ryan Kelly, Milwaukee's Ersan Ilyasova, Orlando's Channing Frye and Utah's Steve Novak.

EDIT: Thing is, Stauskas somewhat duplicates what Fournier brings, and Frye does provide spacing at the 4. Hmmm...

Not only ride out Harris, but spend some of that $7M in cap space to upgrade the 3rd worst bench in the league and make a playoff push.

Improving the bench has to be one of the hardest things for a young team. We're not going to win a championship so any good vet players available we'll have to overpay. I think the best way we'll improve our bench is by doing what we did with Gordon, find a guy(s) who have been out of favor or overlooked and give them a second chance. I think it worked out quite well with Gordon, the problem is he can't be expected to be hot from the field every night and when he's not our bench has almost no scoring. Fournier has fallen off a cliff. It'll be nice to see how things look when everybody is healthy though.
