nba tv is ripping the gordon pick

Wow, that was fast. Seems its not only fans who over react to Summer League. But if Wiggins has a bad game tonight who's betting excuses are made?

I also want to note that before the draft, lots of people were saying how great Embiid or Vonleh would be with the 4th pick even though both are extremely raw and it was known that they would be multi-year-long project picks but had great upside. Yet Gordon being an extremely raw project with great upside is a terrible pick? Come on guys, be consistent.

And getting Payton pretty much negated missing on Exum, in my opinion, since we also got Gordon (and taking Exum was a high risk which people don't seem to realize).

they said they were shocked randle fell to 7 and that orlando picked gordon where they did, and that gordons summer league performance did nothing to change it.

This is the problem with the media though. Guys say stuff like this and if in 4 years time Gordon is an All Star these guys will never get called out on anything. Instead they'll be on TV saying what a great job Rob has done building this team and what a great player Aaron is.
