ORLANDO MAGIC at LA Lakers, Dec 2nd 9:30 PM EST

Recommended Posts

You better believe Coach Vaughn and Jameer discussed what this game meant to him. After that OTHER guY threw him him under the bus. Meer played 39 minutes. After an alleged Achilles foot injury (wink wink).

he didn't want to answer any questions about the magic

and got mad at a reporter for continuing to ask magic related questions

That was Ping asking those questions. He's known for being a little *****, but this time, since it was to Dwight, it was hilarious.

"Let Dwight be Dwight. If he wants to walk off the court, it's cool," said Davis, who overlapped with Howard only last season in Orlando. "No hard feelings. He lost. I'd feel bad, too. I wouldn't want to shake nobody's hand. We weren't even really thinking about him. We just wanted to get this win. I didn't talk to him. I'm here to play basketball. I'm not here to be buddies."

Howard spent the past eight years as the face of the Orlando franchise since the Magic plucked him out of his Atlanta high school with the first pick in the 2004 draft. He made six All-Star teams and won the NBA's defensive player of the year award three times, leading the Magic to the 2009 NBA Finals during five straight playoff appearances.

It all fell apart over the previous two seasons when Howard criticized the organization, flirted with numerous trades and eventually bumped heads with coach Stan Van Gundy. Howard missed the end of last season with a herniated disk in his back, and the Magic missed the playoffs for the first time since 2006.

Cant believe how much of a little b*tch Dwight is coming off as in that post game video. I mean whats the big deal in just acknowledging Orlando and the other guys?? If LA would have won, he would have been all smiles and probably has no problem answering Magic questions.

So SO happy. The GF hasn't been this into a game in a long while, maybe not even the playoff series. I like Jameer after the game acknowledging how much this game meant to the fans, and they can say what they want but it was clear how much this game meant to Meer, Redick, and Big Baby in their postgame interviews.

We love Kobe's conniption fits when he kept complaining he was fouled possession after possession. Whack-A-Howard was beyond awesome. Only annoying thing, really, was Metta World Peace's three threes. But besides winning the game itself, I think my favorite part of this game was how Vujacic played, especially in the second half/4th quarter (hated everything he did in the first half). Mostly just how strong he played on both ends, how well he rebounded.. if he could just keep THAT up, as well as how intense and energetic the team played overall, the Magic would be tough to stop, especially at home.

Love the fallout, by the way. Dwight calling out teammates (but never himself) defensively, Kobe telling Pau Gasol he needs to put his "big boy pants." Heck when asked about his free throws, Dwight even said "we need to do better."

Priceless.

Go Magic! Best win of the year and might be the better than any win last year, too.
