magicblue 315 Report post Posted July 5, 2012 Did you forget we are over the cap? I think he was more concerned with the salary comparison. I'll ask again, is the 3rd year of Jameer's deal a player or team option? Makes a huge difference imo
Manu Ginobili 61 Report post Posted July 5, 2012 Really bad move. I would have hoped a real upgrade at PG and not declining Jameer The numbers for Dragic were not far apart. Everybody is thinking this is a bad move except Hennigan.
Live or Die Magic 383 Report post Posted July 5, 2012 Considering all the potential upheaval this roster may experience in the coming days/weeks/months, it is nice to know that this one thing will stay the same.

BMP 424 Report post Posted July 5, 2012 8,2 per for 4 years ? Against 6,7 per for 3 years ? Dragic (youth, playmaking, overall much better) against Nelson (declining, injury prone, no D, undersized) REALLY??? lists exaggerated good qualities about one player lists exaggerated bad qualities about another player thinks he made a point, but really just comes off as an uneducated ass 4
DanA_TBDP 12 Report post Posted July 5, 2012 We had Jameer's bird rights; we didn't have Dragic. I guess I understand this (not all that much) but I wish we'd made a run for a 1-year veteran rental or something along those lines. The way it looks now, from last year's roster, we lose our two best players, and keep all the trash. That's slightly discouraging.

Secretly Space Jesus 670 Report post Posted July 6, 2012 So what's the argument against here, exactly? Jameer got a slightly above mid-level contract. Are people arguing that he's not, at least, a slightly above average NBA player?

Are people arguing that he's not, at least, a slightly above average NBA player? And this is one of those peculiar instances when the player is more valuable to us than he would be to other teams. We're still stuck on that.

Are people arguing that he's not, at least, a slightly above average NBA player? Really, I'm surprised at their reaction. This is only the third piece of good news this franchise has had since March.
