Omagic12 Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Just thought I would post JOHN wrote:A friend of mine was in some agent/team meetings today in Athens (unfortunately I couldnt make the 30 minute flight today for Game 3). Panathinaikos is very interested in Fran Vasquez and is considering to offer him a big money deal the next few days.Fran currently has a 4 year deal from Barcelona on the table and Orlando Magic representatives are also trying to lure him ,before signing any extension in Europe,to come to tax free money in Florida and playing time. Apparently the Magic have promised him playing time and said to him that they will offer Turkoglou and some of their power forwards(Bass??) for Carlos Boozer in order to clear him many backup minutes. Fran Vasquez is a great and smart big man and I see where Orlando is going with it.I dont know what money they are offering but currently the dude will probably choose between Panathinaikos,Barcelona and Orlando. Just thought I'd share it since a Bull was mentioned in the details of other teams plans(those pursuing Vasquez Link: Realgm Bulls 1 1 Quote
Emory889 Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Do you think the rumors from this message board get posted on RealGM? I know I facepalm every time I see one of these threads and I can't help but hope that they must endure similar pain. 1 1 Quote
Penny Hardaway's Ghost Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 that guy is awesome. Remember last year when he was spot on about us acquiring Luol Deng? Good times. Quote
AddiFB Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 I don't want Boozer. The guy is a fake tough guy who disappears in the playoffs. We don't need anymore of those guys. I want Blake Griffin. Hedo, Bass and something something for Griffin? I want John Wall too. Or do we want CP3? Maybe we could trade Hedo, Bass and that something something to the Nyets for Deron Williams? 2 6 Quote
Fultz4thewin Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 If we trade Hedo for Boozer we are all getting arrested for grand theft. 1 Quote
Ryan the Magic Fan Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 I don't want Boozer. The guy is a fake tough guy who disappears in the playoffs. We don't need anymore of those guys. I'll take his not showing up like he did in the Heat series over the not showing up that Arenas, J-Rich, or Hedo did in the Hawks series in a heartbeat. Quote
NickAnderson Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Boozer's interior passing would help Dwight big time, check His jumpshot is more consistant than Brandon's, check Not a black hole on offense, check Rebounds better, check For Bass and Turk? . Plus if that helps keep Dwight in town, sign me up. Quote
IronMaiden Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Boozer is one of those players that I have always had a strange feeling will end up on the Magic some day. Even though I don't really care for him...always have had a feeling. It'll probably be when he's too over the hill to contribute anything worthwhile considering our track record. Quote
UBBALLER8 Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 Boozer blows and we'd be doing the Bulls a favor by taking his large contract and allowing them to put Gibson in the lineup. This would be a disaster. 1 Quote
COLOMBIANO Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 Boozer for Hedo and Bass? Sign me up. The guy does disappear during the playoffs, but so does every magic player not named Dwight. Quote
Penny Hardaway's Ghost Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 Boozer even disappears during the season. Having said that, I think it still makes us talent richer if we rid ourselves of Hedo and Bass for Boozer, but we'd have to have some defined roles for sure. I'm just not putting him in my top 10 guys to go after category. Quote
